Electromac Tool, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Tooling Designer in our Windsor, Ontario Tooling Facility.
The tooling designer is responsible for the design of progressive and transfer dies. The ideal candidate will have strong teamwork skills, be self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Summary of Responsibilities :
- Design progressive dies, transfer dies, using customers tooling standards.
- Process layouts
- Generate and revise details, assembly drawings, BOM's, 3D models and other manufacturing documentation for all types of tooling (progressive & transfer dies)
- Create and manage files for CNC, wire EDM, and outsourced components
- Evaluate and verify dimensions, tolerances and finishes
- Update files for engineering changes
- Assist with keeping a clean, and safe working environment
- Assist in quotations
- Customer interaction regarding die standards and follow up
Minimum Requirements :
- 3-5 years of experience as Tool Design in Automotive stamping industry
- Knowledge of Design applications-Siemens NX, AutoCAD, Auto Form, an Asset
- Skills in 2D and 3D design and Solid Modelling
- Ability to sit / stand for long periods of time
- Ability to communicate proficiently both written and verbal
Preferred Requirements :
- Shop floor experience
- Mechanically inclined is an asset
- Solid background in metal stamping desired
