Our client , Cavendish Farms, is a forward-thinking organization with multiple divisions, and has an opportunity for an Accountant that will provide an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and professional development.

This position will fill a key support role to the Senior Accountant overseeing finance and accounting functions within one of the divisions of the company.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare journal entries, conduct account reconciliations, and analyze general ledger accounts.
- Generate weekly and periodic financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with operational and financial professionals, fostering cross-functional partnerships.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax and audit packages, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Contribute to compliance responsibilities to meet internal control requirements.
- Uphold strict adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree or Community College Diploma, with a concentration in accounting.
- Proficient technology aptitude, including MS Office Suite (experience with JD Edwards is an asset).
- Possess a Continuous Improvement mindset, always seeking ways to enhance processes.
- Thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
