Your primary responsibilities will include :
Manage firm financials, including payroll, AR / AP, bookkeeping, plan vs. actual reporting and forecasting, period-end reporting & financial statements.
1. Accounts Payable and Receivable :
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- Ensure timely processing of vendor invoices and customer payments.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
2. Payroll Management :
- Prepare payroll schedules and records.
- Calculate employee salaries, deductions, and benefits.
- Stay updated on national and provincial laws related to payroll and taxes.
3. Budgeting and Reporting :
- Compile budget data based on estimated revenues and expenses.
- Prepare periodical cost statements or reports.
- Analyze budget vs. actual performance to identify discrepancies.
- Report recommendations to COO based on deep analysis and data
- Code, total, batch, enter, verify, and reconcile various financial transactions.
- Maintain ledger entries in Quickbooks.
A successful candidate will have :
- Postsecondary diploma or degree in Accounting or related field.
- 5 years of related experience.
- Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
- Ability to deliver responsibilities and make decisions with minimal direct supervision.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to take initiative for own learning and development.
