Oracle Reporting Analyst
Our client has an immediate opportunity for an Oracle Reporting Analyst to join their team in Vancouver.
As an Oracle Reporting Analyst, you will be a subject matter expert for collecting, analyzing, and transforming data into actionable insights, communicating the information, and providing guidance to diverse audiences and business teams across the project.
You will work cross-functionally to identify needs and opportunities, design, and create accurate and creative requirements for dashboards, reports, and presentations, conduct current state analysis, map / gap analysis, inventories, usage, future state analysis, use professional judgement in interpreting policy, finance processes, and legislation to establish precedents or solutions to complex issues.
Key responsibilities include :
- Lead and / or support requirements gathering and implementation of enterprise reporting and dashboard requirements, work with business users to gather and translate requirements into working reports, and test, debug, and refine solutions by actively working with user feedback.
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables, while following defined IT PMO processes and creating required documentation.
- Define, guide, evaluate, recommend, and deliver business intelligence requirements from beginning to end, implementing streamlined reporting and processes to maximize business efficiency, in alignment with Oracle Fusion suite of reporting tools (Smart View, OTBI, BIP, and BICC).
- Write requirements that collect data to build and maintain dashboard and reporting solutions for assigned business groups, review existing dashboards and review requirements for redesign with business users.
- Complete artefacts to assist in the design, build, and maintenance of dashboards and reports for assigned business units using enterprise BI tools, and document future state dashboards and required data pipelines.
- Test business intelligence solutions, including creating and executing test plans, cases, and scripts, and plan and conduct testing of Oracle quarterly patch updates and system modifications related to the business intelligence and reporting tools and dashboards.
As an ideal candidate, you have the following qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent, or comparable education with sufficient relevant work experience.
- Minimum 10 years of business analysis and report creation experience (senior level) with minimum 5 years of business analysis and project management experience (senior level).
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and experience with Oracle EBS, Oracle Fusion ERP, or other large ERP systems is essential, including understanding of technical system architecture.
- Experience with building reports, analyses, and dashboards through Oracle Fusion Smart View, Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP), Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Connector (BICC), and other reporting tools including experience with Data warehouses such as Snowflake and Databricks as well as experience with test automation solutions, Selenium preferred.
- Ability to oversee and plan all activities around the management of IT systems / programs with a focus on service delivery and a pro-active outlook as well as proven relationship building skills, both with internal stakeholders / users and external vendors / consultants / system user community groups.
- Recent full-cycle accounting experience would be an asset.
