A DAY IN THE LIFE OF
THE TERRITORY SALES REPRESENTATIVE
As the Territory Sales Rep you will use your knowledge of crop protection for both horticultural crops and row / field crops (corn, soybeans, potatoes, dry beans) to sell to various retailers in the area and provide technical support to retail sales personnel.
Your first priority will be to provide Key Account Management by keeping clients up to date on the product line. Your second priority will be visiting with retailers to increase the product line sales and providing technical support.
AM I A GOOD FIT FOR THIS UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY?
- A thorough understanding of the Alberta crop protection industry, with a minimum of 3 years experience and ideally 5 years or more experience.
- Experience in the Western Canadian marketplace is required but Alberta is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively English both orally and written.
- Experience in translating detailed scientific information into practical decision-making information for non-technical clients using strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong inter-personal skills to communicate with marketing, salespeople, and customers at the retail level as well as those at universities and executives.
- A self-starter able to take initiative and conduct yourself in a professional manner with little direct supervision. You know how to work your territory to get results.
- A strong team player and thrive in the role of being the lead technical expert supporting the sales needs in your assigned region.
