We are currently seeking an intermediate Piping Designer to join our dynamic team. As an integral member of the team, you will have the opportunity to deliver piping design work along with more senior engineers.
You will also have the opportunity to interact with other technical staff in the development and review of various engineering drawings.
Your pride in supporting engineers in producing high quality and practical designs from concept through to commissioning will be a vital part of this diverse and interesting position.
Responsibilities :
- Assists other engineers in executing engineering tasks and works in accordance with established engineering practices and drafting protocols
- 3d modeling.
- Produces a variety of project drawings including piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), process flow diagrams (PFDs), system schematics, piping plans, sections and isometrics.
- Interprets and carries out creative ideas proposed by other engineers or technologists.
- Communicates and interfaces with other project design and engineering disciplines.
Skills and Qualifications :
- Post-secondary education with a technical diploma in Drafting / CADD, or Applied Sciences.
- At least 5-10 years of piping work experience is required
- Work experience in an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) environment is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team
- Open-minded with the ability to follow instructions
- Ability to complete assigned tasks and use judgment to solve problems based on guidelines and procedures
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid understanding of engineering codes and standards
- Demonstrated proficiency in CADWorx and AutoCAD required, familiarity with Autodesk Plant 3d would be an asset.
- Proficient with MS Office
- Interest in the oil and gas industry is preferred
- Traveling to work sites may be required
Salary is based on an average of 37.5 hours a week.
The competitive salary will be based on skills and experience.
Estimated range is between $64,000-81,000+ / annually
