Leadership Development Coordinator

About the Role

The Leadership Development Coordinator leads the LIT 1 and LIT 2 programs, mentoring teens as they develop leadership skills. This includes planning LIT sessions, coordinating expedition trips, and supporting staff mentors.

Key Responsibilities

Spring :

Assist with LIT selection and hiring
Update LIT curriculum and build session calendar
Coordinate expedition trips (routes, bookings, transportation)
Support staff training

Summer :

Build positive group culture among LIT participants

Supervise “staff mentors” and oversee LIT job placements

Deliver LIT sessions and leadership workshops

Provide logistics support for offsite trips

Evaluate LIT progress using staff and self-reflection feedback

Mentor staff and assist with evaluations

What We’re Looking For

Strong communication and organizational skills

Leadership experience; readiness for supervisory role

Ability to build relationships across ages and teams

Enjoys working with children and supporting staff

Creative mindset; interest in social media and storytelling

Previous camp experience an asset

Standard First Aid & CPR-C (by June 30)

Police Reference Check (VSS)

Work Schedule Overview

End of April – Mid June

Full-time onsite

Program planning, training preparation, and hiring support

Some pre-arrival off-season work (interviews / planning) may occur

Mid June – End of August

Full-time onsite residence required

Daily program oversight and staff mentorship
