Registered Practical Nurse - Medicine #293-24

Reporting to the Manager of Medicine, Owen Sound Site, the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) works collaboratively in an inter-disciplinary team to provide care to those patients with a stable and predictable outcome within the defined professional scope of practice as set out by the CNO.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required :

• Ontario College of Nurses registration
• Ability to work at full scope of practice
• Coronary Care 1 Course or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire
• 2 years recent acute care nursing experience
• Excellent organizational and patient assessment skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, families and other healthcare professionals
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to continuing education and professional development
• Participation in quality improvement initiatives on the unit
• Recent satisfactory performance and attendance record
• Adherence to Brightshores CARE’ Behaviours (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence) and LEAD’ Competencies (Lead by example, Empower, Achieve results, Develop others) and a commitment to a safe workplace free of violence and harassment
• Advocates and supports a culture of patient safety and demonstrates an understanding of how the
