Job Description

Entrust Canada is currently seeking an Intermediate Draftsperson to join our team in Calgary to support each of the design groups. We offer a dynamic work environment with a highly experienced technical team, where you will be offered guidance and hands-on training and be continuously challenged in all aspects of the engineering design and drafting process.

Responsibilities :

CAD Drafting using both MicroStation & AutoCAD and associated software.
Create 2D & 3D drawing packages for High Voltage Substation, Transmission, Distribution, Scada & Telecom projects using CAD software.
Work interactively with both the Drafting & Engineering Teams from all disciplines.
Use current CAD software as well as previous versions based on client specifications.
Create scaled drawings with respect to annotation scale, model-space & paper-space.
Import and convert vendor information, mapping, and survey data into usable CAD formats.
Produce final product drawings from concept sketches.
Check completed drawing packages for quality, consistency, accuracy, and compliance of client standards & specifications.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Drafting from an accredited Institute.

3-5 years of Drafting experience in SCADA, Telecom, P&C, Structural and Civil Drafting

Must be proficient in MicroStation and / or AutoCAD.

Experienced Technical & Drafting knowledge.

Strong understanding of civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings for the creation of complete drawing packages.

Good working knowledge of MS Office, Bluebeam, Adobe, Excel

Ability to work well in both a team and individual environment.

Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written with high attention to detail.

Ability to work efficiently and effectively while managing multiple tasks.

Effective problem-solving skills.

Preferred :

3D drafting / design experience considered an asset.

Utility drafting experience for Transmission, Substation, Distribution, Telecom & Scada considered an asset.

CAD Management experience considered an asset.
