STAFF ACCOUNTNAT

Reporting to the Team Lead of Finance, our Staff Accountant is key a member of the Financial Reporting team; which manages and leads the financial operations and provides meaningful information to the business and its shareholder.

You will oversee the day-to-day accounting requirements of the Financial Reporting Team.

Here is what a typical day looks like

• Identify and prepare all journal entries as required
• Provide and document financial statement support including analysis, calculations and reconciliation, for key general ledger accounts
• Assisting in preparation of financial reports and regulatory reports for Parent Company (Wawanesa), including templates for reporting and initial analysis as required
• Responding to internal client enquiries and following through on resolution of issues
• Ensure financial statement close process controls are followed appropriately and effectively
• Oversee and manage the day-to-day full cycle accounting functions

The value you bring

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
• Previous experience with balance sheet reconciliation and financial reporting is preferred
• Proficient in Excel and Word

Salary range : $42,000 - $56,000
