Position : Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Location : Grenfell, Saskatchewan
Term : Permanent & Full-time (Minimum of 30 hours per week)

Deboys is owned by Darcy and Erin Lowenberg from Grenfell, Saskatchewan. Deboys Equipment has been in business since 2013 and have 12 full-time employees.
During construction season in Saskatchewan, our team grows to include approximately 30 full-time and seasonal employees.
Our construction focus is mainly road construction, and we are an aggregate producer and supplier. Our heavy equipment includes a fleet of 60 CAT construction equipment.

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic Position
The position of Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for working with our team to keep our construction fleet in top working condition.
Key roles and responsibilities will include :
- Perform regular maintenance on all heavy construction equipment and trucks.
- Inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
- Perform repairs on construction equipment and on heavy and light duty trucks as required.
- Diagnose malfunctions and service codes using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the repair that is required.
- Repair equipment or replace defective parts, components, or systems, using hand and power tools.
- To ensure the equipment meets the proper performance standards and manufacturer specifications.
- To work with CAT technical support as needed.
- Perform regular maintenance on all trucks and equipment including routine lubrication and oil services.
- Configure and adjust implements in the shop and work site.
- Maintain work environment in a clean and organized fashion.
- Other mechanical duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
The main requirements of the position are :
- A minimum of 3 years previous mechanical experience.
- Mechanical certification from a post-secondary institution.
- The ability to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Honesty and integrity are critical character requirements.
- Skilled at diagnosing mechanical equipment.
- Physical ability to repair equipment.
- Thorough and strong attention to detail when performing repair, maintenance and inspections.
- Ability to complete maintenance records.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
- Be well organized. The ability to organize a daily schedule and multiple tasks.
- The ability to work alone and with a team.
- Punctuality
- Self-initiative
Language Requirements
The ability to speak, write and communicate fluently in English.
Compensation and Benefits
An hourly wage of $38.00 CDN per hour, employee benefits including extended health care, dental, life insurance, and long-term disability benefits will be provided.
In addition, all tools required to do your job will be provided by Deboys Equipment.
