JobDescription:

  • Plan,orderandcoordinatedeliveryofallstructuralsteelmaterials withvendorstoyardbasedonschedulesforeachproject.
  • Ensuringavailabilityofmaterialsatthecorrecttimeatbestpriceforeachprojectfrom thecorrectsources.
  • ReviewMaterialgradesonMaterialListsandEnsurePOarecreatedtomatchas required.
  • Planandorganizeandprocureallsubletitemstheshopcannotproducesuchasbent plateandheavyburningandensuringthoseitemsarriveintimepertheshopsschedule.
  • Plan,organizeandcontrolthecompletesupplyofallshopconsumablesusedonaday todaybasiswithlocalvendors.
  • Workingwiththemaintenancedepartmenttoprocurethepartsneededforrepairing shopequipment.
  • Negotiatemajorpurchaseswithsuppliers,millsandoffshoresupplierswhile coordinatingwithuppermanagementoftheselargerpurchases.
  • Overseeingandperformingannualinventoryaudits/countsofallmaterialsinstock.
  • Orderingofallbolts,fastenersandhardwareforeachprojectandcoordination ofdeliveriesoftheseboltsforeachjobsitewithvendors.
  • Pricingofmaterialandbuyoutitemsforjobsthecompanyisbiddingandworking closelywiththeestimatingdepartmenttogetallpricingtheyrequire forbiddingatthemostcompetitivepricing.
  • UsingcompanysoftwareStrumisforthefollowingduties:
  • Generatingpurchaseorders.
  • Procuringandnestingfromtheadvancedbillofmaterialstoprocurewhatisrequired foreachproject.
  • Creatingcutbillsfortheshoptouseforeachprojectbasedonmaterialsthathave beenpreviouslypurchasedforeachproject.
  • Managinginventorylevels.

Requirements

  • Understandingofalltypesofsteelusedintheindustry,ie.grades,sectionsizesin metricandimperialandbeabletoidentifyallshapeswithintheindustrymateriallibrary.
  • ExcellentOrganizationSkills.
  • ExcellentCommunicationSkillsbothoralandwritten.
  • Thoroughunderstandingofsupplychainanddifferentprocurementstrategies andunderstandinghowtheyapplytodifferenttasks.
  • Verydetailedoriented.
  • ExcellentknowledgeofMicrosoftExcelandtheabilitytolearnourinhousefabrication software.
  • Havinggoodknowledgeofmaterialyardsafetyandreceivingthematerial withproperlybasedonprojectschedules.
  • ExcellentLeadershipskills.
  • 3-5yearsexperienceinthestructuralsteelindustryinpurchasingorsalesrole.
  • LegallyentitledtoworkpermanentlyforanemployerinCanada.
  • FluentinverbalandwrittenEnglish.
  • AvailableforonsiteroleinFraserValley,BCimmediately.

Compensationwillbesalaryplusprofitshareandrangefrom150-180kperyearbasedoncompanyperformance,pluscompanybenefitplan.
