JobDescription :

Plan,orderandcoordinatedeliveryofallstructuralsteelmaterials withvendorstoyardbasedonschedulesforeachproject.
Ensuringavailabilityofmaterialsatthecorrecttimeatbestpriceforeachprojectfrom thecorrectsources.
ReviewMaterialgradesonMaterialListsandEnsurePOarecreatedtomatchas required.
Planandorganizeandprocureallsubletitemstheshopcannotproducesuchasbent plateandheavyburningandensuringthoseitemsarriveintimepertheshopsschedule.
Plan,organizeandcontrolthecompletesupplyofallshopconsumablesusedonaday todaybasiswithlocalvendors.
Workingwiththemaintenancedepartmenttoprocurethepartsneededforrepairing shopequipment.
Negotiatemajorpurchaseswithsuppliers,millsandoffshoresupplierswhile coordinatingwithuppermanagementoftheselargerpurchases.
Overseeingandperformingannualinventoryaudits / countsofallmaterialsinstock.
Orderingofallbolts,fastenersandhardwareforeachprojectandcoordination ofdeliveriesoftheseboltsforeachjobsitewithvendors.
Pricingofmaterialandbuyoutitemsforjobsthecompanyisbiddingandworking closelywiththeestimatingdepartmenttogetallpricingtheyrequire forbiddingatthemostcompetitivepricing.
UsingcompanysoftwareStrumisforthefollowingduties :
Generatingpurchaseorders.
Procuringandnestingfromtheadvancedbillofmaterialstoprocurewhatisrequired foreachproject.
Creatingcutbillsfortheshoptouseforeachprojectbasedonmaterialsthathave beenpreviouslypurchasedforeachproject.
Managinginventorylevels.

Requirements

Understandingofalltypesofsteelusedintheindustry,ie.grades,sectionsizesin metricandimperialandbeabletoidentifyallshapeswithintheindustrymateriallibrary.

ExcellentOrganizationSkills.

ExcellentCommunicationSkillsbothoralandwritten.

Thoroughunderstandingofsupplychainanddifferentprocurementstrategies andunderstandinghowtheyapplytodifferenttasks.

Verydetailedoriented.

ExcellentknowledgeofMicrosoftExcelandtheabilitytolearnourinhousefabrication software.

Havinggoodknowledgeofmaterialyardsafetyandreceivingthematerial withproperlybasedonprojectschedules.

ExcellentLeadershipskills.

3- 5yearsexperienceinthestructuralsteelindustryinpurchasingorsalesrole.

LegallyentitledtoworkpermanentlyforanemployerinCanada.

FluentinverbalandwrittenEnglish.

AvailableforonsiteroleinFraserValley,BCimmediately.

Compensationwillbesalaryplusprofitshareandrangefrom150 - 180kperyearbasedoncompanyperformance,pluscompanybenefitplan.
