Intermediate Production Controller to manage MRP processes, optimize production schedules, and resolve operational issues
Our valued client is seeking an Intermediate Production Controller to manage MRP processes, optimize production schedules, and resolve operational issues .
Responsibilities :
- Support the MRP system and production cell activities and execute work orders.
- Analyze MRP reports daily, addressing issues impacting the execution of work orders.
- Administer processing of MRB items on the shop floor.
- Manage production configuration control through the build cycle by processing and implementing PDCs, PDIs, and other change traffic.
- Anticipate and analyze issues that may impact the production build schedule; in consultation with others, develop and action achievable recovery plans.
- Generate, distribute, and review weekly build schedule from MRP.
- Identify and resolve any MRP issues related to assigned tasks.
- Communicate schedule status and current & potential delinquencies to Product and Program Managers.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to other Production Controllers; perform other related duties as required.
Must-Have Skills :
- Experience as a Production Controller (or similar role) working in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and processes.
- Eligible for Reliability clearance (5+ years in Canada).
Nice to Haves :
- APICS CPIM, CIRM or CSCP Certification.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
- Experience with project management methodologies or tools.
