MatchBox Consulting Group is looking for a Senior Interior Designer in Calgary, AB. Our client is a well-established architecture and interior design firm with studios in Edmonton, Red Deer, Calgary, Saskatoon, and Ottawa.
They boast a diverse portfolio encompassing projects of various scales and sectors, including recreational, commercial, civic, and educational.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, assess, and mentor a diverse team, providing proven technical leadership and staying updated on industry trends.
- Coordinate consultants with interior and architectural documents, supervise project document control tasks, and maintain quality control.
- Conduct material research, contribute to detailed preparation of design and construction documents, and resolve general interior design problems.
- Utilize drawing platforms such as AutoCAD and Revit; collaborate on concept and schematic design, design development, and create presentation materials.
- Possess excellent time management and teamwork skills, space planning skills, and knowledge of design trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness.
Requirements
- Over 10 years of industry experience, ideally on the Associate / Partner track.
- Possession of NCIDQ certification and other relevant registrations and certifications.
- Extensive experience in municipal project work, with a focus on growth in this area.
- Strong ability and interest in mentoring, coaching, and building out a team.
- Business development acumen and interest.
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally as needed.
