SUMMARY
Sony AI’s Privacy Preserving Machine Learning (PPML) team is looking for smart and talented researcher interns with expertise in deep generative models and privacy-preserving machine learning techniques.
The internship requires a minimum of 3-months duration. During the internship you will work on cutting edge deep generative models in computer vision, harnessing their potential to advance the state-of-the-art in computer vision in PPML team’s flagship project.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a research intern, you will conduct novel and advanced research with members of the PPML team. You are expected to be self-motivated and have the ability to conduct and implement innovative ideas and have the drive to advance internal collaborations and overall success of the team.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
Your qualifications and experience should include :
Masters degree in CS, EE, applied mathematics, or a related field.
Strong background in deep learning and machine learning.
Experience with deep learning development tools (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).
Previous research experience demonstrated by high impact projects or publications at key machine learning and computer vision conferences (NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, CVPR, ICCV, etc).
Experience in working with large-scale deep neural networks, i.e., training and evaluation methodologies.
Strong command of the Python programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant experience in deep generative models and privacy preserving machine learning during Masters or PhD studies.
Experience in training and evaluating large scale deep generative models, such as diffusion models.
Strong understanding of diverse vision tasks, such as classification, segmentation, detection.

The target hourly rate for this internship is $50.00 per hour. The individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime.
