What We’re Looking For
Our Claims Division is seeking a client-focused Claims Advocate to join the team. We are looking for an experienced Claims professional who thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Our Burnaby location is our head office and is centrally located in the Willingdon Business Park. This location is easily accessible by the Gilmore sky train station with many shops, restaurants, and other amenities nearby.
Requirements
- Level 2 General Insurance License
- Minimum 5 years of commercial complex claims experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong computer skills
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
- Holds an industry designation (CIP, CAIB, CRM, General Insurance & Risk Management Diploma BCIT)
- Experience with EPIC system
A Day in the Life
- Report and monitor all claims with Insurers and Adjusters as assigned
- Answer in-bound claims calls from clients, carriers, and internal & external adjustors
- Monitor general claims emails from clients, internal staff, and insurers
- Review policy declarations and wordings for coverage conditions
- Negotiate settlements and facilitate claims with clients and insurers
- Attend meetings with clients and producers
- Attend in-house top 200 renewal meetings
- Review client loss histories for trends
