Full Kindergarten Teacher or Kindergarten Facilitator
Yellowhead Koinonia Christian School
Under the direction of the Principal, the Full Kindergarten Teacher or Kindergarten Facilitator will work collaboratively to plan and implement a full 5-day Kindergarten program within a classroom setting.
They will provide supervision and age-appropriate programming to a group of 7 students with the support of an Educational Assistant .
The Early Childhood Educator will collaborate in the design of programming and create a faith-based environment which will enhance children's cognitive, physical, social and emotional development.
Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in Kindergarten / Early Childhood Education programs and have a vibrant Christian Faith.
Responsibilities :
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children in the early childhood program
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and development
- Maintain accurate records of each child's attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
Qualifications :
- Teacher Certification or Level -1 / 2 / 3 Early Childhood Educator certification
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a classroom
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience in early childhood education or childcare is preferred
- Proficient in computer operation for administrative tasks
- Strong time management skills to effectively plan and prioritize tasks
