Truck driver Class 1
Job description Is very conscientious of the safety at work and complies with the regulations. Works safely when manipulating motorized vehicles.
The truck driver has for principal responsibility to bring peat to the mill, will have to load with a conventional loader.
Will also be responsible for the maintenance and the good working order of the equipment. Is conscientious of the quality of the peat and knows that it has a direct effect with the quality of the finished product.
Learns to distinguish the grades of the peat and makes a link with the corresponding production so can suggest changes, adjustments or signal any potential problem to supervisor.
Must load his trailer adequately, in a time comparable to other co-workers. Must be able to load the maximum of peat at the end of a pile without bringing an excess of wet material.
Will also do all other tasks that will be given to them by the direction. Qualities required Must recognize that there are many grades of peat and knows how to read the map of the fields.
Must be an employee who shows aptitudes to drive a motorized vehicle, in this case, a loader & a truck with a walking floor trailer.
Must be very conscientious and in measure to verify and do a daily maintenance of the equipment. Must be able to work in a group to attend the objectives of the quantity and the quality demanded by the company, which will sometime consist of the removal of the wet peat on the piles or even to quickly change piles, etc.
Must collaborate entirely with the department of quality control and the team leader. Must be in measure to do a daily basic inspection, including the oil level, cleaning of the air filter, greasing, verification of the tires, etc.
Must have a well-developed work ethic. Must demonstrate a positive attitude. Has a facility when it comes to communication.
Must be a person of integrity and very respectful. Performance Must be able to load the peat to a maximum from a pile without excess wet material. Powered by JazzHR
