About the Opportunity
- Oversee and manage month-end and year-end financial reporting close processes for both US and Canadian operations
- Perform monthly GL postings and reconciliations to ensure accuracy on financial reporting and to identify and correct any unusual items
- Monitor and oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll functions, while providing leadership and support to staff
- Monitor weekly / monthly cash flows
- Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements under IFRS and be a point of contact with external auditors to compile and finalize the annual financial package
- Provide support to external tax advisors in the preparation of yearly tax returns
- Analyze and interpret month-end financial reporting package metrics and trends, and be able to communicate and provide recommendations to the senior management team
- Responsible for monthly payroll tax remittances and oversight of tax compliance
- Provide resolutions on accounting and / or operational issues from operations team in all required areas
- Engage in internal control process improvements and system enhancement
- Assist in all tasks and ad hoc projects when needed
About You
- CPA designation or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a Controller role
- Experience working with direct reports and leading a team
- Solid experience with Quickbooks and ADP is an asset
- Advanced Excel is required
Salary Range
$125,000-$135,000 / year
