Position Description
As the Plant Engineer you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of their plastics manufacturing process.
- Evaluate manufactured products for optimization and quality
- Identify safety enhancements by recognizing at-risk conditions
- Collaborate with Production team on new products
- Keep process conditions and manuals up to date
- Ensure compliance with ISO 2015 Standards
- Conduct SWOT analysis for the Production Department
- Monitor data for trends and corrective actions
- Collaborate with Plant Manager on your findings recommendations
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Department and Operations
- Recommend equipment additions or upgrades to enhance quality and productivity
- Identify areas for improvement and develop action plans
- Take ownership over job safety analysis documentation related to plant production
Experience
- 5 to 10 years of relevant and related experience in mechanical and / or chemical area(s) is required
- Leadership experience required for potential future promotions
Qualifications
- P. Eng designation in place is a requirement
- Six Sigma certification is required
- Relevant post-secondary degree
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) Certification is desirable
- Prior supervisory experience in a production setting
- Strong communication skills in written, verbal, and team-based interactions
- Proficiency in using MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
Education
