Your new role
Seeking an experienced Intermediate Property Accountant. The successful candidate will manage the full accounting cycle for a portfolio ofmercial properties including general ledger accounting, preparing financial statements and budgets, reviewing financial statement results and providing variance analysis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including ie statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for the assigned portfolio.
Collaborate with property managers to develop and maintain property budgets, tracking performance against financial goals.
Prepare quarterly financial reporting packages for review by property managers.Identify variances between actual and budgeted financial results, providing explanations.
Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and perform monthly reconciliations.Prepare monthly journal entries, accounts receivable adjustments, and submit monthly tax reconciliations in a timely manner.
Prepare monthly and annualmon Area Maintenance (CAM) and Realty Tax adjustments as required.Review leases to ensure accurate billing andpliance with financial terms.
Collaborate with property managers to address tenant queries and financial concerns promptly and professionally.What you'll need to succeed
Minimum 3-5 years of progressive Property Accounting experience inmercial real estate,Excellent knowledge and experience related to technology and accounting systems in a real estate environment (Yardi preferred).
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.What you'll get in return
