Reporting to the Superintendent, Talent Acquisition - Nunavut, you will be part of the Human Resources Department. You will be responsible for managing full‑cycle recruitment to attract and hire qualified candidates in alignment with the company goals. This role partners closely with hiring managers, develops sourcing strategies, builds strong talent pipelines, and ensures a positive and compliant candidate experience. Your role includes leading recruitment efforts for positions within the Nunavut Operating Divisions and the Services Group. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Responsible for end-to-end recruitment, including job intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing, compensation and offer facilitation of internal and external candidates.
Liaise with candidates and hiring managers and ensure proper follow-ups with stakeholders throughout the recruitment process.
Ensure a smooth transition from the selection process to pre-employment verifications to the onboarding stage of new employees.
Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies through job boards, ATS (Applicant Tracking System), social platforms, referrals, and community networks.
Collaborate with hiring managers to understand role requirements, competencies, and workforce needs.
Present qualified candidates and provide guidance to hiring managers and hiring members on interview best practices, including structured or behavioural interview formats.
Maintain ATS (Applicant Tracking System) data integrity and recruitment metrics; report on hiring trends, pipelines, time-to-fill, and candidate experience insights.
Ensure compliance with Canadian employment laws, privacy regulations, and fair hiring practices.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
2–5 years of full cycle recruiting experience (in house or agency).
Strong experience using ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems), sourcing tools, and social recruiting platforms.
Experience with targeted selection interview methods.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills within the scope of your role.
Knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and fair hiring practices.
Exposure to AI recruitment technologies and an interest in leveraging innovative tools to improve hiring efficiency would be an asset.
Experience and knowledge of mining industry and natural resources talent acquisition activities, including labour market trends and best practices.
Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
