DELIVERY MATERIAL HANDLER (Class 3Q or Class 1)

EARN $75,000 - $100,000 PER YEAR

Delivery Material Handlers work in teams and are responsible for the safe and efficient delivery, unloading and placement of building materials onto customer sites including residential, commercial and industrial building construction sites in Edmonton and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, unload and place building materials according to customer specifications
• Operate remote controlled picker cranes, rough terrain forklifts and conveyors
• Drive 4 / 5 axle trucks with tridem pup trailers to job sites (up to 8 axles) – depending on license classification
• Hoist building materials

In a typical day you may drive 20% of the time and you may operate a crane or Moffett forklift 20% of the time. The rest of the time you and a colleague are physically handling (unloading and placing) heavy building materials into residential / commercial structures (construction sites).
