Project Hydrogeologist , Intermediate (Mining Projects)

Calgary, AB

(Remote support of for BC Mining projects based out of Calgary)

Position Overview

This is a unique opportunity to work with a team of over 85 hydrogeologists and environmental scientists and engineers on groundwater resource projects across Western Canada, the United States, and South America. Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical input on a broad range of technical services, including water supply exploration and development, drilling investigations, groundwater well installations, seepage pathway assessments, dewatering assessments, baseline characterizations and environmental impact assessments.
• Develop conceptual hydrogeological models and integrate these models with other science and engineering disciplines to guide decision making on critical projects.
• Complete hydrogeological investigations of local and regional scale groundwater / surface water systems for environmental assessments during project development, operations, remediation, and reclamation / closure.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and public stakeholders.
• Perform business development activities such as writing proposals, generating work plans, and most importantly, building and maintaining effective relationships with existing clients.

Key Experience / Qualifications

The successful candidate must have a university degree in hydrogeology or a relevant geoscience / engineering discipline, with a keen interest in continuing to advance their technical skills working alongside a team of senior hydrogeologists and environmental scientists and engineers.
