ABOUT THE ROLE :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Technical Designer with a strong background in textile design to join our team.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in the pre-production phase, ensuring accurate and detailed tech packs and BOMs are created for each garment.

You will manage production timelines, oversee fittings, and collaborate closely with suppliers and internal teams to deliver high-quality products that meet design specifications.

WHAT YOU'LL DO :

Production Timeline Management :

• Coordinate and manage production timelines to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers and manufacturers to monitor progress and address any production issues promptly.

Tech Pack Creation :

• Develop comprehensive tech packs detailing garment specifications, measurements, materials, and construction methods.
• Ensure accuracy and clarity in tech packs to facilitate smooth production processes.

Bill of Materials (BOMs) :

Create detailed Bill of Materials (BOMs) outlining all components needed for production, including fabrics, trims, and accessories.

Textile Design Expertise :

• Utilize textile design knowledge and experience to select appropriate fabrics, patterns, and textures that align with DRMERS CLUB’s brand aesthetic.
• Collaborate with Designers to integrate textile designs into garment collections while ensuring feasibility for production.

Fittings and Quality Control :

• Conduct fittings to ensure garments meet design specifications and fit requirements.
• Implement quality control processes to maintain consistency and quality across production batches.

Collaboration and Communication :

• Collaborate closely with Designers, Pattern Makers, and Production teams to translate design concepts into feasible production plans.
• Communicate technical requirements and updates clearly to internal stakeholders and external partners.

Process Improvement :

• Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements within the pre-production workflow.
• Implement best practices to streamline processes and reduce lead times.

WHO YOU ARE :

• Proven experience as a Technical Designer or similar role in the fashion industry.
• Strong proficiency in creating detailed tech packs and BOMs.
• Expertise in textile design, with a keen eye for fabric selection, patterns, and textures.
• Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and production techniques.
• Experience in managing production timelines and coordinating with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate across departments.
