Our client in the financial services industry is seeking a Social Media Specialist to join their team in Toronto, ON.
As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies to enhance our brand presence, engage with our audience, and drive business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of social media platforms, excellent communication skills, and a passion for the financial industry. Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and traffic across various platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Tik Tok, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Create engaging and relevant content for social media posts, including text, images, videos, and infographics, that resonate with our target audience and align with our brand voice and values.
- Monitor social media channels for trends, news, and conversations relevant to the financial industry, and leverage opportunities for timely engagement and thought leadership.
- Manage the social media content calendar, scheduling posts, and ensuring timely delivery of content in alignment with marketing campaigns and company initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as reach, engagement, conversions, and sentiment to measure the effectiveness of social media efforts and optimize strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including marketing, communications, and compliance teams to ensure consistency in messaging and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, and proactively identify opportunities to innovate and improve our social media presence.
- Engage with our social media community by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner, fostering positive relationships and addressing customer concerns.
- Provide regular reports and insights on social media performance, highlighting successes, challenges, and recommendations for improvement to key stakeholders.
- Stay informed about industry regulations and compliance requirements related to social media marketing in the financial sector, and ensure all activities adhere to relevant guidelines.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 3+ years of social media experience.
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, tools, and analytics, with a demonstrated ability to drive engagement and conversions.
- Strong copywriting and content creation skills, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of financial products, services, and terminology is a plus.
- Experience with social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social is preferred.
- Professional certifications in social media marketing or digital marketing are a plus.
