As a Buyer working in the Civil & Infrastructure Operations team at Pomerleau Construction, you will own the management of purchasing various materials as required by our office and worksite needs.

Supporting our large-scale building and infrastructure projects ranging from $ million to upwards of $1 billion - you will act as a key project resource through your contributions in ensuring our teams have exactly what they need.

What You Will Do

• Successfully manage the placing of purchase orders and acquiring of construction site materials and warehouse consumables for our local projects.
• You love learning about new product innovations and finding new suppliers throughout Canada.
• You consistently remain updated on all out-of-stock products, reconciling delivery notes with PO’s and approving invoices.
• You have a knack for building great relationships with suppliers, negotiating successfully to secure the best quotes possible.
• Work closely in supporting our logistics team from time to time in organizing the occasional transportation of materials.
• Organize occasional transportation of materials.

Successfully plan product groupings for annual agreements.

This role could be for you if you have

• An AEC in procurement management and / or a diploma in accounting and management and / or equivalent experience.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar position, in construction and / or hardware store operations (major asset).
• High skills in working in Excel to keep all things organized.
• An expertise when it comes to your knowledge of site materials and construction tools.

The expected salary range for this opportunity is $80,000 - $110,000 plus applicable project uplift. Please note that salaries may vary depending on the candidate’s experience and geographical location.

Listed compensation is exclusive of bonus and in addition to our extensive employee benefits program which is listed below.
