Store Manager - General Merchandise
Description
Team Leadership : Recruit, train, and manage a team of dedicated and motivated retail professionals. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and exceptional customer service.
Inventory Management : Monitor inventory levels, track merchandise turnover, and manage stock ordering to ensure that the store is well-stocked with popular products while minimizing overstock.
Customer Service : Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service. Resolve customer inquiries, issues, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Sales and Profitability : Set sales targets and goals, implement effective sales strategies, and monitor financial performance.
Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost control.
Visual Merchandising : Oversee the presentation and layout of the store to optimize the shopping experience for customers.
Compliance : Ensure that the store adheres to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and compliance with local regulations.
Reporting : Generate regular reports on store performance, sales trends, and other key metrics to inform decision-making.
Requirements
Previous retail management experience, preferably as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency in inventory management and basic financial analysis.
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Knowledge of the Yellowknife retail market is a plus.
