We are a small, fast-moving startup building real-world safety systems that operate in demanding environments. You will work closely with a dynamic group of engineers across software and hardware, and your contributions will have a direct, visible impact on products deployed in the field.
In this role, you will help design, build, and deploy safety systems for heavy duty machinery. You will work across the stack, from embedded-adjacent software and computer vision pipelines to cloud infrastructure and user-facing tools. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with a team, learning quickly, solving problems, and seeing their work move from concept to real-world use.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain production-grade software systems
- Build and test computer vision pipelines for real-world environments
- Develop backend services and APIs to support distributed systems
- Write reliable, testable code with strong automated test coverage
- Deploy and maintain services using containerized and cloud-based infrastructure
- Collaborate closely with hardware, product, and operations teams
- Troubleshoot and optimize performance across edge and cloud systems
Required Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Python and experience with PytestHands‑on experience with Docker and containerized workflowsFamiliarity with AWS or similar cloud platformsExperience with database management (SQL and / or NoSQL)Solid understanding of networking fundamentalsExperience with DevOps practices and CI / CD pipelinesPractical experience in computer visionUnderstanding of distributed systems conceptsExperience using Cython or similar performance‑optimization toolsFrontend or full‑stack experience with React and Node.jsPreferred (Not Required)
