The Building Operator is responsible for ensuring that the daily mechanical operations of West Edmonton Mall meet the necessary high standards and that all systems are well‑maintained and are running in an efficient manner.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Monitoring all building mechanical and site systems, including boilers, chillers, HVAC units, pumps, sprinklers and all ancillary equipment.
• Responding to building or equipment malfunctions and all alarms and mechanical requests.
• Completing regular maintenance on mechanical systems throughout the mall (e.g. water chemistry, filters, strainers, etc.).
• Drafting comprehensive daily logs of occurrences for each shift worked and monitoring the Building Automation System.
• Handling tenant mechanical concerns and assisting other trades as required.
• Other responsibilities as required.
