Job Summary

We are seeking a Safety Engineer focusing on Drilling& Workover Operations to join the Loss Prevention organization(LP) which is the corporate safety organization within the company.

We provide both daytoday infield occupational and process safetysupport to This Company operations as well as centralized technicalsupport and consulting function.

Our field offices are located inAbqaiq Riyadh Ras Tanura Dhahran Udhailiyah Jeddah (including Yanbuand Jazan) and Tanajib.

Through these offices LP provides itsservices to all facilities and departments that are locatedthroughout the Kingdom. Your primary role as a Safety Engineer(Loss Prevention Engineer) is to is to provide daily support toupstream organizations to provide field and office safety supportto manage safety in petroleum engineering exploration drilling andworkover related activities including unconventional resources andseismic operations.

Responsibilities :

Facilitate the implementation of the ThisCompany Safety Management System ensuring alignment with itsobjectives and expectations.

Develop associated safety processesand actively participate in selfassessments.

• Conduct inspections of onshore and offshore drilling rigsworkover equipment and support facilities. Possess comprehensiveknowledge of well control equipment and procedures includingattending Basic Well Control School.
• Identifyassess recommend actions and follow up on critical safety tasks andcontrol methodologies. Address operational safety practices likework at height isolation / LOTO permit to work hydrogen sulfide andconfined space entry.
• Contribute to safetystudies using risk assessment and mitigation techniques such asPHAs HAZOPs JSAs incident investigations compliance reviews andinsurance surveys.
• Develop and reviewcorporate safety standards instructions and procedures specific toupstream operations. Translate these into companydocumentedpractices as needed.
• Review designs of oil andgas field facilities to ensure compliance with both company andindustry safety standards.
• Assist in theformulation of Emergency Response Plans for credible scenarios andexhibit familiarity with the Incident Command System (ICS).

Participate in emergency drills as an observer and offerconstructive feedback.

• Respond to emergencysituations and incidents including after regular working hours toprovide technical guidance and advice.
• Supportthe reporting classification and investigation of all incidents.Actively engage in incident investigations determining root causesand providing suitable recommendations to preventrecurrence.
• Deliver specialized LossPrevention training to employees contractors and externalstakeholders.
• Assume a mentoring roleproviding guidance and knowledge transfer to fellow LPpersonnel.

Requirements :

• This role required candidate topermanently relocate at Dhahran SaudiArabia.
• Possess a Bachelorsdegree in any engineering discipline from an AccreditedInstitution.
• 7 years of relevant industryexperience within the oil and gas upstream sector.
• Demonstrate a strong track record of delivering resultsacross various areas including but not limited to :
• Drilling & Workover operations
• Well planning and approval
• Reservoirmanagement
• Geology and geophysics
• Project management for upstream facilitiesdevelopment
• Oil & gas fielddevelopment
• Simultaneous operations (SIMPOS)between upstream and construction / downstream operations
• Offshore and onshore drilling rig safetyinspections
• Managerialaudits / assessments
• Safety program andemergency response plans development
• Strong communication skills in English bothverbal and written.
• Ability to effectivelycommunicate with peers and management.
• Proficiency in producing clear and concise oral andwritten reports in English.
