Job Description
As Structural Engineering Intern, you will be involved in the computer-aided design and production of structural designs and drawings.
You will have the opportunity to grow professionally and participate in a variety of multidisciplinary projects of all sizes, in an environment where accountability, autonomy and trust are strongly encouraged.
This is an 8-month or 12-month co-op / internship opportunity.
Your responsibilities
- Assist with structural design on various projects
- Assist with site visits, inspections and field reviews on various projects in the greater Vancouver Area
- Participate in coordination meetings with clients and other consultants
- Participate in different infrastructure designs by setting up calculations and drawings
- Develop new innovative design tools
Qualifications
- Current student completing their bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Student must have completed concrete and steel design classes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Ability to apply technical knowledge to various practical problems
- A desire to learn and continually develop
The salary for this position ranges from $23.00 to $29.00 per hour, depending on your academic profile, the number of credits earned, and your previous co-op or internship experience.
The final offer and salary may be adjusted based on your unique profile.
