Claims Adjuster

Our client, who is a prestigious insurance company, is seeking to hire a Claims Adjuster to join their team. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing a diverse portfolio of commercial liability and specialty line claims, including professional liability.

Effectively managing an interesting and varied personal caseload of commercial property claims, which may include catastrophe claims, large losses, and complex losses, while maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.

The caseload will depend on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

• Proactively handling all allocated claims, communicating effectively with all key internal stakeholders such as the Leadership Team, Underwriting, Risk Control, Actuarial, and external stakeholders such as Customers, Brokers, and Service Suppliers from initial notification through to final settlement.
• Contributing to the design and implementation of claims policies, processes and procedures, products, and services.
• Conducting analysis of statistical information and KPIs to identify trends, improve performance, and support remedial action.
• Monitoring, maintaining, and developing personal knowledge and skills through continued professional development, supported through insurance-related courses, as well as ongoing at-the-desk coaching.
• 5+ years of previous commercial property claims handling experience
• University Degree, College Diploma, or equivalent insurance experience
• CIP qualification or a willingness to achieve qualifications within an agreed timeline
• Strong negotiation skills both verbal and written
• The ability to assimilate and comprehend information
• Ability to handle high call volumes effectively
• 10+ years of previous commercial property claims handling experience will be an added advantage.
