Permanent position

Hours : Monday - Friday from 12pm-8 : 30pm (onboarding / training will be a day shift until you are able to work independently on the evening shift)

Salary : $32-$47

Responsibilities

As a Forklift Mechanic for this great company located in Ottawa, a normal day would include :

• completing preventive maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and repairing power material handling equipment
• handling, maintaining, and repairing battery and chargers
• logging and reporting using CMMS
• adhering to health and safety standards and regulations

Qualifications

Who is the perfect match for this position?

• trade school education preferred
• 2-5 years of experience working as a mechanic with electrical equipment experience (forklifts, aerial lift equipment)
• automotive mechanic (310s), aerial mechanic and / or heavy equipment mechanic experience
• knowledgeable in hydraulics, electric (AC / DC systems), mechanical components of rolling equipment
• have own set of basic tools
• team player, creative, autonomous
