We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading distributor of building materials for the residential, commercial & industrial markets.

Their business model is decentralized and they service their customers out of various local branches Canada wide each branch operates as a standalone business with its own General Manager and P&L, servicing customers end-to-end, fulfilling orders from their own warehouse, managing customer relationships and driving sales within the local region.

Customers include builders, general contractors, plumbers, architects, interior designers and homeowners.

Part of their hiring strategy is to target high-potential young professionals and teach them their industry / products / business model from the ground up by rotating them through the various departments in a branch with objective of training future leaders and developing talent from within.

This is a full-time entry-level position in which you will learn hands-on by rotating through different positions over the course of a few years the length of time you spend in each rotation will depend on how quickly you learn and business needs.

You will receive the support, guidance, mentorship, and coaching needed to develop a successful career with a well-rounded skillset.

Ultimately, this program will resemble an entrepreneurship program as you will learn how to run your own business, but in this case, you will get paid while you learn!

Successful graduates of the program have continued their careers in various positions such as Senior Account Managers, Technical Sales Specialists, Purchasers, Operations Managers, Branch Managers & more!

• Please note this is an on-site position Monday to Friday working core business hours.

Phase 1 Warehouse Logistics You will learn the products we sell and how they get from the vendor to the customer and actively participate in the warehouse logistics role to understand and provide sales support.

Phase 2 Operations You will actively get involved and learn our front-line customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory and pricing controls, credit management, financial statements, and more

Phase 3 Inside Sales / Project Management Over time you will go from helping customers with various customer service issues to managing large-scale, time-sensitive projects.

Phase 4 Outside Sales / Account Management You will learn how to find new business opportunities, sell our products, negotiate contracts, and build customer and vendor relationships.

Phase 5 In this phase, you can take all of your training and determine your ideal career path.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Post-secondary education required (, Business, Engineering, Technical Trades etc.)
• Experience in retail, competitive team sports, or running your own small business is an asset
• Positive attitude and a results-oriented mindset
• Work well in and support a team-based environment
• Highly entrepreneurial mindset
• Roll up your sleeves mentality with a whatever it takes mindset to get the job done
• Extremely customer centric
