Job Summary : Our client, in the food industry, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented IT Technician to join our team in North York.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of their computer systems, network infrastructure, and server environment.

The role involves proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues to guarantee optimal performance and functionality of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Computer Systems Maintenance :

Perform routine checks and maintenance on desktops, laptops, and other computing devices.

Install, upgrade, and configure software applications and operating systems.

Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, providing timely resolutions.

Network Management :

Monitor and maintain the company's network infrastructure.

Ensure the connectivity and reliability of network components.

Troubleshoot network issues and implement solutions to enhance performance.

Server Administration :

Manage and maintain the company's server environment.

Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity on servers.

Monitor server performance and address any issues to ensure optimal functionality.

Subscription Management :

Monitor and manage software and service subscriptions.

Ensure all software licenses are up-to-date and compliant.

Coordinate with vendors for subscription renewals and upgrades.

Security and Compliance :

Implement and maintain security measures to protect company data and systems.

Stay informed about cybersecurity threats and best practices.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

User Support :

Provide technical support to end-users and resolve issues promptly.

Conduct user training sessions on IT-related topics as needed.

Maintain a helpdesk system to track and address user concerns.

Documentation :

Keep accurate records of system configurations, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting steps.

Develop and update documentation for IT processes and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills :

Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role.

Strong knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software.

Experience with network administration and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with server administration and maintenance.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are a plus.
