Medical Radiation Technologist - CT and Radiography

Job Summary

The Medical Radiation Technologist works as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing their professional expertise to internal / external customers

• Knowledge of radiation, Health and Safety Regulations

• Ability to train and orientate other health care professions and students

• Ability to keep current with changes in technology and aid in implementation of accepted changes
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and previous experience in CT (may include clinical placement)
• Safety awareness, including radiation safety
• Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated problem assessment skills
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
• Demonstrated individual leadership skills

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Medical Radiation Sciences, Radiography from an accredited educational institution
• CMRITO mandatory, MRT (R)
• OAMRS highly recommended
• Completion of the Intravenous Therapy (IV) Online Training course and the Central Venous Access Devices Online Training course through Southlake’s On-line Learning System (SOLs), or plans to complete
• Maintains current CPR certification

As a condition of employment, you are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination to the Hospital’s Occupational Health and Safety department.

Successful candidates will be required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination (two doses) from the Ontario Ministry of Health website or other authorized source directly to the Occupational Health and Safety department.
