In your role, you will
- Work with suppliers on projects related to mechanical systems components for New Product Development (Periphery, Cabinets, Window Shades, Water & Waste, Oxygen, ECS, Tables and Door mechanisms, Sièges et Divan Insulation, etc.).
- Define technical requirements and participate in supplier strategies for new systems.
- Collaborate with different internal parties (Operations, Projects, Programs, Procurement, Technical, etc.) as well as suppliers for problem solving on daily basis.
- Negotiate interfaces with other systems / structures and formalize the agreement on Interface Control Drawings (ICD).
- Lead technical meetings with suppliers and be responsible for the delivery of quality engineering documentation that meets Bombardier Standards.
- Chair design reviews and master regulatory and industry requirements.
- Ensure system components meet technical and certification requirements.
- Act as a technical leader and transfer knowledge through coaching / mentoring within your larger team.
As our ideal candidate
- You have a college or University mechanical or aerospace engineering degree or equivalent with more than Ten (10) years of relevant experience.
- You have relevant technical business aircraft interiors experience; knowledge of the Global Aircrafts and Mechanical Systems Integration is an asset.
- You have solid experience working with Enovia / Catia and Teamcenter / NX (GSD, Assy, Part Body, Drafting, etc.);
- You understand product structure and aircraft certification.
- You have the ability to understand complex engineering issues and are innovative in problem solving.
- You are well organized and are project oriented.
- You must be a self-motivated person, a team player able to work under pressure and under a minimum of supervision.
- You have good communication skills including good English writing skills, and good English and French verbal skills.
- You also demonstrate an excellent track record of meeting your commitments with success.
