The Position

Position Mandate Sales Manager

The Sales Manager at 7Gen holds a crucial role in steering the company's commercial strategies, tasked with driving significant market expansion and fortifying the company's presence both nationally and internationally.

This pivotal position is responsible for translating 7Gen's ambitious environmental objectives into concrete business outcomes, ensuring that sales strategies are seamlessly aligned with the company’s core mission of sustainability.

The Sales Manager is expected to champion sustainable growth and market leadership through innovative and strategic initiatives.

Location and Travel

The head office for 7Gen is located in Montreal, Quebec. This role encompasses national responsibilities and ideally the Sales Manager is based in Montreal or Toronto, with the flexibility to work in a hybrid model.

Additionally, frequent travel across Canada is necessary, along with occasional international trips to support the company's expanding market reach and strategic initiatives.

  • Reports to : Vice President, Marketing & Business Development
  • Direct reports include : A sales team of 10
  • Collaborates with : Marketing, Product Development Teams, and key strategic partners.

Position Contributions, and Impact

  • Sales Strategy and Execution : Develop and implement robust sales strategies that align with 7Gen’s strategic goals, focusing on acquiring new accounts and expanding existing ones.
  • Leadership and Team Development : Mentor and manage a team of sales professionals, promoting a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and collective success.

The role requires handling diverse talent, from enthusiastic newcomers to highly experienced professionals.

Client Engagement and Partnership Management : Build and sustain critical relationships with strategic partners and stakeholders.

Lead the negotiation and closure of major deals, ensuring they align with both financial objectives and environmental commitments.

Operational and Performance Excellence : Monitor key performance indicators and refine strategies as necessary to optimize sales processes and outcomes, using all the relevant digital marketing strategies.

Ensure that the sales team remains agile and responsive to both market dynamics and customer needs.
