Job Description

Our well established client in the insurance sector is seeking a Bilingual (French / English) Disability Case Manager to join their team! This full-time permanent opportunity offers a competitive salary and bonus structure , flexible work schedule (4 days / week remote and 1 day / week onsite in Downtown Montreal), benefits coverage , RRSP plan with matching , wellness account, growth opportunities and much more!

The individual will managing assigned disability claims by evaluating medical information and job duties, developing case management and return to work plans during periods of disability.

They are also responsible for delivering timely, professional and responsive service to clients and their employees. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the extent of the disability by interviewing or writing to the applicant and the employer, and ongoing update
  • Conduct medical investigation by phone or in writing to the applicant, employer, physicians and other medical service providers
  • Write letters to inform all affected parties of decisions regarding disability cases

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency written and orally comprehension skills in both English and French
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and excellent listening skills
  • Maintain organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to be solution-oriented and known to be a decision-maker
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment handling a high number of cases / calls

Nice-to-Haves

A bachelor's degree or college diploma in Kinesiology, Disability Management, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social Work and / or experience as a Disability Specialist, Rehabilitation Consultant, Occupational Therapist or Consultant, Massage Therapist or any other regulated health care field.

La personne gérera les demandes d'invalidité assignées en évaluant les informations médicales et les tâches du poste, en élaborant des plans de gestion de cas et de retour au travail pendant les périodes d'invalidité.

Ils sont également responsables de fournir un service rapide, professionnel et réactif aux clients et à leurs employés. Rôles et responsabilités :

  • Évaluer l'étendue du handicap en interrogeant ou en écrivant au demandeur et à l'employeur, et en effectuant une mise à jour continue
  • Mener une enquête médicale par téléphone ou par écrit au demandeur, à l'employeur, aux médecins et aux autres prestataires de services médicaux
  • Écrire des lettres pour informer toutes les parties concernées des décisions concernant cas d'invalidité

Qualifications et compétences :

  • Maîtrise des compétences en compréhension écrite et orale en anglais et en français
  • Posséder de solides compétences interpersonnelles et d'excellentes capacités d'écoute
  • Maintenir des compétences organisationnelles et multitâches
  • Capacité à être orienté vers les solutions et connu pour être un décideur
  • Capacité à travailler dans un environnement au rythme rapide et à gérer un nombre élevé de cas / appels
  • Un baccalauréat ou un diplôme d'études collégiales en kinésiologie, gestion du handicap, physiothérapie, psychologie, travail social et / ou expérience en tant que spécialiste du handicap, consultant en réadaptation, ergothérapeute ou consultant, massothérapeute ou tout autre organisme réglementé domaine des soins de santé.
