We are seeking applications for our 2024-2025 School Year High School Teacher open call. We have multiple contracts available, in locations across the district.

Grasslands is located in the southeastern part of the province and serves a population of about 3,577 students in Brooks, Alcoma, Bassano, Duchess, Gem, Rolling Hills, Rosemary, and Tilley.

Job Duties :

• identify students’ individual and collective learning needs;
• plan and deliver instruction based on student learning needs and special needs;
• provide a stimulating learning environment in which each student can experience growth and develop to their potential;
• help students learn appropriate knowledge, skills;
• meet with parents;
• evaluate and communicate student progress;
• prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help;
• meet with other professionals to discuss individual student needs and progress;

volunteer to supervise extracurricular and after-school activities; and

attend meetings, seminars and in-service training sessions.

Education and Certifications :

Bachelor of Education

Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate, or certificated in a different province, and able to obtain an Alberta Certificate before start date.

Successful applicants will be required to submit before start date :

Current Criminal Record Check (CRC) with Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)

Original document reported within the last 6 months of hire date; condition of employment
