Meat Cutter - Sun Valley Co-op

Sun Valley Co-op is currently looking for an individual to join our team at the Altona Food Store in the full-time position of Meat Cutter.

The primary responsibilities of a Meat Cutter are to assist the Meat Manager in all areas of the Meat department including delivering world-class customer service, preparing cuts of meat for retail sale using various pieces of equipment (band saw, grinder, patty maker, etc), prepare marinated meats and other value-added products, pricing, packaging, housekeeping, and sanitation.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational ability, self-motivation, and excellent cutting skills.

Previous experience in a Meat Department would be an asset. However, we are willing to train the right candidate.
