Our client's Corporate Project Management Office (CPMO) is hiring technical and business-focused Project Managers. Successful candidate could be assigned to Core Optimization Program, Data Management & Integration Optimization (DMIO) Program, and / or many business process projects that will be enabled by the implementation of selected solutions.

This role will report to a manager in the CPMO and work closely with business / functional areas, and provide overall project planning, management, coordination, and execution for assigned projects.

This role will need to (1) use their domain knowledge and project management skills to coordinate resources, project timelines, and schedules;

2) provide project status reports to the Sponsor and Steering Committee and handle any changes to project plans. Skills required include strong organization, critical thinking, and communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating a diverse team of business, functional and / or IT staff, contractors, and / or system integrators through the project delivery lifecycle.

Key activities will include effective validation and management of scope, estimating, resource planning, management of change management, stakeholder engagement & management, risk management, quality planning, and execution.

It is also important for the candidate to have experience and strength in managing complex business scenarios and dynamic stakeholder groups and ensuring effective synchronizations between competing corporate initiatives.

This role will require strong technical skills as it will focus on the integration of Connected Applications into the new Sap S4 / Hana platform.

Experience with Open Invoice and Trax will be an asset.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • Lead complex transformation projects and / or business process / continuous improvement projects
  • Collaborate and influence large stakeholder groups from various functions and business
  • Carry out effective communication with CPMO or business leadership team
  • Manage and motivate a diverse team composition
  • Define project scope, objectives and deliverables that support the business goals in collaboration with clients, teams and stakeholders
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using the Corporate Project Management Office (CPMO) Delivery Execution Framework, tools and processes
  • Track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring corrective action is taken when necessary, to improve project performance
  • Effective risk management to resolve issues / conflicts that may arise within the project
  • Track project achievements and results, ensuring corrective action is taken, when vital, to improve project performance
  • Lead all aspects of the day-to-day activities of the project / program team direct and indirect reports to ensure project / program results are completed accurately, on time and to the required quality assurance standards
  • Identify, document, track and communicate project / program risks / issues, and assist in resolution or mitigation
  • Identify possible skill gaps within the team and implement ways for performance improvements
  • Partner with Corporate Change Management to design and implement the appropriate OCM / Business Readiness strategy / plan for the project
  • Ensure projects are being delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

Must Have :

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • At least 10 years of progressive professional experience as a Project Manager or in a similar capacity
  • Experience in business transformation projects and / or business process / continuous improvement projects
  • Organization and relationship building skills
  • Oil &Gas / Energy industry experience would be considered an asset
  • Highly effective communicator, confident, passionate, clear, respectfully assertive and inspiring
