Electronics Assembler

Blackline Safety is currently hiring skilled Electronics Assemblers to perform a variety of assembly tasks including soldering, test, assembly and packaging. This role reports to our facility in Calgary, Alberta and is not remote.

Responsibilities

• Component Assembly : Assemble electronic components and sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Use precision hand tools, soldering irons, and other equipment to perform intricate assembly tasks.
• Soldering and Wiring : Perform soldering tasks to connect and secure electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCBs). Follow wiring diagrams and instructions to connect and route wires and cables within electronic assemblies.
• Quality Control : Conduct visual inspections of components and finished assemblies to ensure adherence to quality standards. Identify and rectify any defects or discrepancies during the assembly process.
• Testing and Troubleshooting : Conduct functional tests on completed electronic assemblies. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified during testing.
• Documentation : Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, configurations, and test results. Complete production and quality control documentation as required.
• Material Handling : Manage and organize electronic components, ensuring proper storage and inventory control. Notify supervisors of any shortages or discrepancies in materials.
• Workstation Maintenance : Keep workstations clean, organized, and equipped with necessary tools and materials. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
• Adherence to Safety Standards : Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety concerns or incidents to supervisors.
• Collaboration : Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to meet production goals and timelines.
