What is the opportunity?
You will be responsible for the acquisition of new Wills and Powers of Attorney documents appointing Royal Trust in a fiduciary capacity.
You will develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with High-Net-Worth clients and key internal & external partners;
and provide exceptional advice.
What will you do?
- Self-sources new Will and Power of Attorney appointments and other new business opportunities through established relationships with Partners and Centres of Influence
- Provides advice on will planning issues, ensures that new documents meet internal policy standards
- Develops strong working relationships with key internal partners and external Centres of Influence
- Act as a resource by providing advice on specific estate and trust legal issues
- Keep current with legislative changes related to estate & trust issues within the applicable governing jurisdiction
- Provide timely and effective client service for existing clients relative to their Wills and Powers of Attorney documents
- Provides superior client service for existing clients and partners in order to ensure retention of appointments
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have :
- Law Degree and called to the Bar in one Canadian province or territory
- Advanced knowledge of wills, estate administration, trust and related administration, tax rules and planning concepts
- Advanced knowledge of common law related to wills, estates and trusts
- Experience in will, estate, and trust law, financial planning, trust & estate administration, and relevant taxation, environmental, family and insurance
- Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Preference for Mandarin Speaking Nice-to-have :
