Executive Vice President, Clinical Programs and Chief Medical Officer - Unity Health Toronto

The Executive Vice President, Clinical Programs and Chief Medical Officer (EVP & CMO ) plays a pivotal role in providing leadership and oversight of clinical operations and medical affairs across Unity Health Toronto.

Reporting directly to the President & CEO, this position is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing clinical programs to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and the advancement of clinical excellence within the organization.

In addition, the EVP & CMO will spearhead medical affairs and provide overall leadership within our healthcare network for physician service delivery and quality.

The EVP & CMO serves as the principal advisor on medical matters to the executive team and provides strategic direction to ensure the delivery of exceptional medical services across all facilities.

Responsible for overseeing clinical operations, the EVP & CMO plays a critical role in shaping and implementing policies that drive medical service excellence, quality improvement, and patient-centered care.

The EVP & CMO will possess a significant record of accomplishment in senior medical leadership roles, bringing a demonstrated understanding of best practices in clinical care delivery and quality improvement methodologies.

Possessing a thorough understanding, appreciation, and experience of the complexities and stakeholder dynamics of community and academic health centres, the EVP & CMO will bring exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and connect with all levels of the organization, as well as with external stakeholders.
