As a member of the Operations team, the Focus Factory Leader reports to the Director of Operations. The Focus Factory Leader is responsible for overseeing plant operations through the Production Supervisors.
Work must be done in a safe and efficient manner and comply with all Johnson Electric's Health & Safety policies, procedures and quality systems
Your responsibilities will be to :
Improves Safety of workers through reduction of repetitive motions, identification and elimination of Hazards, and improvement of 5S in the facility
Increases throughput by continual improvement in the process (i.e. reduce downtime, reduce faults, reduce waiting, reduce movement, reduce time spent looking for items)
Decreases inventory by reduction of setup time and improved reliability of operations
Decreases expenses by careful management of labour and improvements in efficiency
Ensures compliance to Policy and Procedures and manages employee performance through the annual review process and progressive discipline system
Manages labour and vacation coverage to ensure that operations are adequately staffed
Reduces tooling cost by ensuring that employees are adequately trained and setup processes are followed (i.e. ensures error proofing and sensors that protect tooling are properly implemented and utilized)
Troubleshoots process problems and initiates corrective action to increase quality and productivity
Coordinates the daily activities of Production Supervisors and hourly employees
Schedules engineering and maintenance machine requirements
Adjusts production schedules to maintain flow considering equipment, manpower, available time, and packaging requirements
Addresses labour concerns, motivates employees, and improves relations between employees and management
Establishes production goal requirements for each work cell
Calls or attends Problem Solving / Continuous Improvement meetings as required
Adheres to Johnson Electric's policies and procedures
Adheres and supports Johnson Electric's Safety and Environmental policies and practices
Ensure that the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Health & Safety Systems are met.

Our requirements :
Degree and / or Diploma and minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory / managerial capacity.
Quality System experience in a TS 16949 registered organization.
Excellent knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software (i.e. Excel, Word)
Strong Leadership and Team building aptitude.
Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization.
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
WORK ENVIRONMENT (including Physical Demands) :
Primarily office environment with some time spent in manufacturing facilities
