Front-Line Support Worker (Full Time)

Elder's Place Supportive Housing

$22-$24 / hr.

SCOPE OF POSITION

• Establish and maintain safe and clean environment of the facility.
• Overseeing the day to day operations of the facility.
• Provide and be available for client communications.
• One-on-one support and group facilitation of sharing information.
• Advocate and / or mediate on behalf of clients.
• Provide input to staff members regarding client needs.
• Information referral and receipt from co-workers, life skills, caseworker, etc.
• Liaise with other agencies to provide fluent transitions.
• Participate in Case Management to assist clients to transition to independence.
• Be available to work all shifts in 24-hour facility.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12.
• Certification : First Aid, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (NVCI, CPI) Suicide Intervention, and Food Safe; or the willingness to obtain after hire.
• Valid Driver's License - Class 4 required, or willing to attain prior to expiration of probationary.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of the Indigenous culture and Trauma Informed Practices.
• Clear criminal record.
