Front-Line Support Worker (Full Time)
Elder's Place Supportive Housing
$22-$24 / hr.
SCOPE OF POSITION
- Establish and maintain safe and clean environment of the facility.
- Overseeing the day to day operations of the facility.
- Provide and be available for client communications.
- One-on-one support and group facilitation of sharing information.
- Advocate and / or mediate on behalf of clients.
- Provide input to staff members regarding client needs.
- Information referral and receipt from co-workers, life skills, caseworker, etc.
- Liaise with other agencies to provide fluent transitions.
- Participate in Case Management to assist clients to transition to independence.
- Be available to work all shifts in 24-hour facility.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12.
- Certification : First Aid, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (NVCI, CPI) Suicide Intervention, and Food Safe; or the willingness to obtain after hire.
- Valid Driver's License - Class 4 required, or willing to attain prior to expiration of probationary.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of the Indigenous culture and Trauma Informed Practices.
- Clear criminal record.
