John Shift Pattern : 6 days on, 1 day off, 12-hour shifts Industry : Oil and Gas Key Responsibilities Oversee the tool crib operations, including the issuance, return, and maintenance of tools and equipment.
Maintain accurate records of tool and equipment inventory, including check-outs, returns, and condition status. Ensure the organization and cleanliness of the tool crib area, making it easily accessible and efficient for users.
Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and prepare orders for replenishing stocks or acquiring new tools as needed.
Implement and enforce safety and operational procedures for the handling and storage of tools and equipment. Coordinate with project management and other departments to understand tool requirements and ensure timely availability for various tasks.
Provide guidance and support to site personnel regarding the proper use and care of tools and equipment. Manage the onsite inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring that critical components are readily available to minimize downtime.
Qualifications and Skills Proven experience as a Tool Crib Attendant or in a similar role within the oil and gas industry, particularly in shutdown or turnaround projects.
Knowledge of a wide range of tools and equipment used in the oil and gas sector, including their maintenance and safety protocols.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a large inventory and maintain accurate records. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with site personnel and management.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote, camp-based environment on a 6 on / 1 off, 12-hour shift schedule.
Commitment to safety standards and procedures. Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
